Health
& Safety
Providing a clean and safe space for our patients has always been top priority for us.
The /Ascent /Approach to Health and Safety
We’ve implemented several enhanced protocols in how we operate to ensure the highest level of health and safety for our team and patients during this pandemic.
We’re dedicating extra time to clean the treatment tables thoroughly so that sanitizing solutions have time to take effect ensuring a clean surface.
Our team has implemented a rigid hand-washing or sanitizing protocol.
We’re completing a thorough sanitization of the full clinic three times a day, monitored and checked by our Patient Experience team.
There is a designated area in our movement space to place any used equipment. This equipment will not be used again until it has been thoroughly sanitized.
We’re limiting the pillows placed on the treatment tables. If you and your therapist require a pillow for your treatment, one will be made available after which it is fully sanitized before reuse.
It’s essential we know about the status of your health, so you’ll receive an online form to be completed the day before your session. This form is mandatory to help us determine if you’re eligible to book a session. Upon check-in our Patient Experience Team will ask you a few quick questions to verbally confirm the status of your health and any potential COVID-19 contact and check your temperature.
If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, or in self-isolation please do not come to the clinic.
Our team completes health screening checks each day as well.
Team members and patients are required to properly wear masks at all times. If you do not have a mask we can provide one for $2. Everyone entering the clinic is also required to sanitize their hands, and again after their treatment when they check out at reception.
When in close, shared spaces like the reception or treatment areas, please maintain a safe distance between other individuals. Our Patient Experience Team will help direct you to a place where you can wait for your session to begin. Please arrive for your session right on time, and not early, to keep any contact or crowding in our clinic to a minimum. Consider waiting outside or in your car if you’re comfortable and weather permits.
During this time, we’re suspending all clinic treatment wear, beverage services, women’s personal hygiene products and hair ties. Please consider bringing a pair of shorts and/or t-shirt to wear during your session.
At this time, we ask that you keep an active credit card on file at all times so our Patient Experience team can settle any payments in a contactless way.
Our 24-hour cancellation policy is still in effect to ensure we provide fellow patients with an opportunity to book a session. If you’re unable to attend due to illness or aren’t comfortable, you always have the option to book a Virtual Session. However, if this is not an option due to your health or the nature of the treatment (i.e massage) we will not charge a fee for cancelations due to covid reasons.
If a client or one of our team members have tested positive for COVID-19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, the person will be advised to self-isolate for a 14-day period.
If the person reports any flu-like symptoms, including a fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath, or other symptoms that may be indicative of COVID-19, the person will be sent home and advised to consult a medical practitioner.
If the person has tested positive for COVID-19, the employee’s return to work will depend on the advice of AHS (after a minimum 14 day quarantine at-home period).
If the person has tested positive and has attended the workplace or been in contact with others within the 14 days prior to the confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis, the person should notify the clinic and all scheduled/seen clients who may have been in contact with the individual that one of their co-workers has tested positive. The team members/clients should further be notified that they should self-isolate for 14 days and contact AHS if they display any symptoms of COVID-19.
