Physiotherapy Resident, Pelvic Floor Therapy, Exercise and Yoga Therapy
Isha is a lover of all things movement and play! She is a believer in the power of movement as medicine and loves to empower her patients to find ways to integrate play into their lives. She was born and raised in Calgary, surrounded by the mountains and nature, which led to a big love of hiking, camping, downhill skiing, and rock climbing. Isha has a great love of traveling and has even received her 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification in India. She graduated from the University of Toronto’s, MScPT program and has since moved back to Calgary and is pursuing further training in Level 1 Pelvic Floor Therapy, Lifestyle Medicine, and Medical Therapeutic Yoga.
Isha has always found exercise and sport therapeutic, which has driven her interest in physical therapy. She believes in using an engaged approach to rehabilitation and encourages her patients to be actively involved in their therapy. She draws on her background of yoga and meditation when working with patients. Her assessments are thorough, and she places an emphasis on really getting to know her patients to understand how to best tailor treatment, education, and home programs to suit each person.
Currently to stay moving, Isha is training for a half marathon, weight lifting, has a daily yoga and meditation practice, and is trying to perfect her handstand!
