Active Release & Graston

Active Release Technique®

Active Release Techniques® (ART) is a state of the art soft tissue and movement based manual therapy technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

Why Ascent?

The Ascent Approach

Our /Approach starts with getting you out of pain quickly, we then help you gain mobility and control so you can move better, after that we focus on building injury resilience so you can stay active for the long term.

ART® is one of the soft tissue modalities we utilize to restore your muscle function, improve athletic performance, and to allow your body to move without pain.

Active Release Technique®

ART is a highly sought after therapy for both acute and chronic soft tissue injuries that arise from repetitive muscle injuries, sports injuries, trauma, postural stresses, daily wear and tear and overuse of our bodies.

Overused and injured muscles (and other soft tissues) can cause your body to produce tough, dense scar tissue in the affected area. ART is one of the most effective treatments available to reverse the effects of the accumulation of scar tissue and restore proper soft tissue function.

Graston Technique / IASTM

Graston is one of the soft tissue modalities we utilize to foster a faster recovery of new or previously permanent injuries.

Graston Technique® and other forms of Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions.

These techniques utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments that detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.
