Meet your dedicated specialist, who will guide you through a personalized consultation. We’ll discuss your training history, goals, and any running-related concerns. This initial 75-minute session will involve moderate intensity treadmill run while wearing our state-of-the-art Platinga AI Insole; followed by a functional movement testing to capture valuable insights into your run strategy, compensation strategies due to muscle weakness and/or fatigue, as well as your resiliency to running-related lower body injuries.
Review Follow Up Session (30 mins):
Following your assessment, you’ll book a follow up visit to receive a detailed report on your running mechanics, complete with actionable recommendations to enhance your performance and prevent injuries.
Data-Driven Insights for Long-Term Success
With our Run Assessment, you’re not just getting a snapshot of your performance on a single day—you’re gaining data-driven insights into how your body moves and performs over time. This allows you to track your progress, see how your body responds to training, and make adjustments as needed. Whether you’re training for a specific race or just aiming to run without pain, having a deep understanding of your body will give you the edge you need to perform at your best.
Who can benefit?
The Run Assessment is perfect for runners at every level—whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been running for years. It’s beneficial if you’re:
- Recovering from an injury or worried about injury prevention
- Training for a personal best or race
- Looking to improve your form, increase speed, or run more efficiently
- Needing insights into how your body is compensating during training
“What a great experience! After injuring my Achilles tendon training for a marathon, and no improvement after a couple weeks with severe pain, I was in need of serious help.
Right from the start, Anthony Sousa was awesome! He is very thorough with his diagnosis & treatment plan, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He is on the ball & timely with sending follow-up emails after the appointment with all the info that was discussed. The improvement and progress I made the week following my first appointment was incredible, night and day.
This was my first time needing physio and will be coming back here hands down, if I ever need physio again. 100% would recommend this clinic!!
Thanks for everything Anthony you were amazing! 🙌”“Anthony is fantastic, he got my partner and I through our first marathon injury free and had plenty of advice on maintenance and injury prevention. Can’t say enough good things!”“I recently suffered an IT band injury during peak trail racing season. Chad Piper did a fantastic job helping me work through it. His knowledge and expertise in the field are evident. With a less-than-ideal time frame, I put in the work with him, and eventually managed a podium finish at the Canadian Death Race. Being injured is not easy and I always felt better leaving this clinic than when I walked. I highly recommend Ascent Health and Sport Therapy.”
