Why Ascent Chiropractors?

Elevating the game for what chiropractic care should look like in Calgary

Our chiropractors have worked throughout the world with Olympians, at the Pan Am games, professional golf tournaments and more.  Our team is here to provide world-class chiropractic care for Calgarians.

While our profession’s roots are in providing highly skilled adjustments or manipulations to the joints, the world of manual therapy has grown substantially since and we are committed to offering the best comprehensive chiropractic care.

We  are experts in hands-on manual therapy including adjustments, IMS Acupuncture, and other soft tissue treatments and we are passionate about the potential for patients when they are actively involved through movement and strength based exercises.

Our Calgary chiropractors are sport and activity enthusiasts themselves and know how important it is to maintain a healthy, mobile and strong body to keep up with the demands of life, activity and aging.

Additional Therapies

In addition to an adjustment, our sports chiropractors here in Calgary often utilize other therapies, such as:

Functional Range Systems

Functional Range Systems, or FRS® is a powerful one-of-a-kind approach to help increase useable range of motion, improve articular mobility, improve neurological control, increase strength/resilience, enhance athletic performance, decrease incidence of injury, and improve recovery from injuries.

 Active Release Therapy®

Active Release Techniques® (ART) is a state of the art soft tissue and movement based manual therapy technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

IMS Acupuncture and Dry Needling

A small and thin acupuncture needle is used to relax tight muscles and stimulate the healing of over-sensitive nerves.  It also helps stimulate the body to release its own natural painkillers.

Shockwave

Shockwave, or extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ECSWT), is a non-surgical, non-invasive tool that accelerates healing and regenerates damaged tissue.  It is often most effective in cases where the body has not been able to heal itself on its own.

Exercise Therapy

Movement is the best medicine.  Our treatment plans teach you proper exercise techniques that can bridge the gap from injury to restoring normal function to further improving performance and resiliency for the long term.

Electrotherapy Modalities

Our chiropractic doctors can also utilize traditional physical therapeutics such as ultrasound, TENS and cold laser.
