Recovery and preventative care can be provided at Ascent Health with a focus on the athletes sport-specific demands.
As youth athletes develop and the competitive drive takes over it can expose them to more opportunity for acute injury and increase risk for overuse injuries. This is especially true as athletes begin to specialize in a specific sport.
Examples include, volleyball players and shoulder injuries from overhead work, soccer players and hamstring injuries from sprinting and changing directions, or hockey players with hip and groin pain from skating.
