Physiotherapy, Athletic Therapist , Functional Dry Needling, Exercise Therapy
Jessie is a Registered Physiotherapist and Certified Athletic Therapist. She holds a Masters degree in Physiotherapy and two Bachelor’s degrees in Athletic Therapy and Kinesiology. Previous to completing her Physiotherapy registration she worked as the Head Athletic Therapist (AT) for the Acadia University Football program and Assistant AT for the University of Guelph Football program and was also a part-time faculty member in Acadia’s School of Kinesiology.
She has experience working with a variety of patients from various backgrounds including but not limited to professional, university and recreational athletes along with those looking to get back to activities of daily life. Her treatment approach aims to allow you to be as active as possible throughout your recovery while integrating the use of manual therapy, functional dry needling, individualized exercise prescription and when required uses athletic and/or kinesio-taping strategies. She also spends spare time working with sports teams and at events in the community providing Athletic Therapy coverage. Outside of work, Jessie is passionate about travelling and staying active with regular weightlifting, participating in recreational sports and also competes in Strongman.
